bepsf, Travsmom: I think I laughed out loud the first time I saw that wallpaper- who knows what happened. Or when. Or WHY. Alas, I cannot change it. And actually, now that I've lived there a few months, its somehow strangely grown on me... though I would still rip it down in a second if given the option. alianoelle: That IS the fabled UO couch. It works for me. It's obviously not top-notch furniture, but I bought it secondhand, so I paid only a fraction of the full price, and it was definitely worth THAT. I needed a couch, the midcentury legs gel with the rest of my stuff, so it works for now. At least until something amazing comes up on Craigslist... which is where I got those matching chairs, and yes they are vintage! Love that horrid gold color... sigh. LOVE all the vintage furniture (esp. the not one but TWO credenzas ((ridiculous)) and the sofa). And I like how you chose a really vibrant yellow but kept it from overwhelming the room by just painting a stripe of it. I love the bed in the bay window! Usually that would freak me out, but it looks like you're at least on the second floor, so no one can stare at you while you sleep. Or, you know, kill you...
