Hmm...I currently have a Lack coffee table that I repurposed to hold a 2x4 Expedit bookshelf, full of heavy law textbooks. The bookshelf weighs at least 60 pounds, I'd say. The books even more. Hasn't budged in 2 years, but now I'm scared after reading these comments.

I was looking for something like this not too long ago but couldn't find anything - great find!

I have this exact shelving unit and a 40" Bravia. It works great sitting on the shelf. I never thought I could mount it to the back - I thought it would be too heavy. Interesting. Not sure why Ikea has the 32" limit in the first place as anything up to 40" fits perfectly.

My college used to use an email called First Class that allowed you to unsend any unread messages, no matter how long ago they were sent. I really, really, really, really miss that.

@mimee - The other night I made mashed potatoes topped with bacon, shredded cheddar, and green onion...oh, it was delicious! So unhealthy yet so great. Perfect comfort and/or football food!

@Rachiti - Boys do like bacon. Take a deep breath. It's gonna be ok. :)

I think it's time someone got a Kindle! :P In all seriousness this looks amazing and reminds me of the library scene in Beauty and the Beast...what a dream come true for a book lover. Also reminds me of the library building in the back yard at Peacefield, the home of John and Abigail Adams. Like this, it's one big, open, two-story area completely full of books. I'm jealous!

Love those fire escapes, and love that book even more. So nice - think I might try to do something like that with my apartment.

Ooh and the main character's name was Francie :)

please make an AT iPhone app too!! :) Reading on the iPad is fine, what with the bigger screen...it's the iPhone that could really use a specially-formatted version.
