I have found that my own pillow (with a bright pillow case to keep hospital staff from changing it thinking it's theirs), a small light lap blanket for sitting in the chair, my own pajamas and robe, earplugs (since I am a light sleeper) and my eye mask (to block out light) help with the comfort and sleeping arrangements. Personal items such as books or my Kindle, a deck of cards, puzzle books and I even like coloring books and crayons along with my needlecraft I am working on keeps me occupied well. Love, love, love grandkids to color me a picture to brighten my room! Home Away From Home: Making a Hospital Stay More Comfortable |

Take bare minimum in furniture that are your favorite pieces and that have double duty uses. Rent a storage shed for 1 year for rest, that way you will have access to it if needed. At the end of the year anything you have not used in storage...sell or donate. As artists either utilize your artwork you have in your storage room in your new place or sell it. I know, they are like your babies...but isn't that part of being artistic? Share your special gift with the world! How Do We Make the Move? 3-Bedroom to a Small Studio Good Questions |

Very cute, original and creative! Love it and the fact that you did not spend an arm and a leg. More parents should try this, although I would of had to paint the bed frames instead of just leaving them natural. lol A Hands' On, Use-What-You Have Room for Sisters My Room |

This is the year of letting go for me. Cleaning out clothes that I have not worn in a season. Making an effort to clean out at least 1 or 2 file folders in filing cabinet daily from my office. Old books that I "thought" I would read...gone! I have been sorting pictures of the family into memory boxes for the kids and grandkids...all the rest will go away. The biggest offender is the medicine cabinet and high on priority list. Old nail polish, makeup, ointments long past dated, vitamins or herbal pills no longer in use...GOING, going, gone! 5 Things To Let Go of Today |
