Salted butter and Dill are awesome to freeze together! Also when putting the cubes in the plastic bags add the date that you made it, just a thought! Great post! Never thought of using oil!
@Gleeseed - If your using it before it goes rancid than no! But if you want the fresh herbs in February and you make it in July, ehhhh, could be a little...ucky! lol

u guys are crazy, those are rad!
Also unique, and thus unnamed, because they originate from New England and are almost in the craft category, each artist has their own name for them. Never mass produced, some would say for safety reasons, I would say because Olivia your ahead of the times for spotting this and the rest of us (me) have to catch up!

EJBRAMMER , thats why we comment here and not in peoples houses. This site is all about a celebration of style and substance. But to appreciate the great we should also sometimes pay attention to the crap, in fun and for interest sakes.

I would say one of two options: Clear the mantel, dress only with Candles and fresh flowers, paint out the red to a linen tone similar to the mantel stone, and fill shelves with the colours. OR!!! Paint/wallpaper in a bronze metallic from top to bottom! (That is risky, but could be so much fun!) And that would contrast nicely with the architectural interest of the attack space.

If you fill in the space with built ins it will make that side of the room to heavy, if your goin to add storage, just do the bottom three feet, matched to the colour of the stone.

I have lived without a kitchen sink, that was crappy, but a bucket of water worked decently. I have been living without an Oven for about a month and a half now, AND I AM GOING CRAZY! I don't have the money for a toaster oven, (student) but I think I may go steal one of my in-laws TO for a bit till I can repair the GD oven. Thanks for this post, I can relate. Can't wait to see the place finished!

I believe ralph lauren does this, faded denim effect, go check at homne depot paint section, the little hand out flyers. There is a special brush/tool kit.
Overstock for linens or vintage linen at flea markets. Good luck darlin

Now this is a tough one, I'm an art student and avid design fan, so I'm broke, have some talent and have way too expensive taste. But even though I can copy other artists/designers I usually chose not too. I have done a couple of Alto inspired side tables, and some studies of Picasso, things I have sold, but sold as reinterpretations of the originals. They are obviously different from the muses, but I was still capitalizing on someone else originality. I will continue to make stuff inspired by the greats, but I would/could never take from a fellow artist struggling and trying to be unique. It's just not right.
Patrick (the other one) Put it the best!!! Great discussion AT.

My parents freezer is tucked away in a pantry inside another pantry, and I'm standing in the kitchen about 50 feet away and for four hours my whole family ran around their house, we checked the neighbours, we checked the basement, the crazy home theater, 10 cell phones, cameras, fridges, ice makers, dishwashers, etc. Finally I noticed a puddle slowly leaking out of the doors of the second pantry. The beeping was sooooo loud we could hear it outside, but couldn't pin point it. Lol, we need that audio fire system on our freezer "too hot?" or "open freezer?"
