It might have something to do with living in the Pacific NW but I cannot stand the idea of living inside gray rooms. So depressing!

I think you should:

● Take down the rest of the cabinets that you've already taken the doors off of.

● Replace with Ikea Lack Shelves

● Paint the walls and possibly the ceiling a muted blue

● Paint the remaining cabinets white

Harmonyfrance: Wow, there are some strong feelings about my couch... but you nailed it. Yes, I have an ill-fitting, neutral, Pottery Barn, slip cover but instead I just decided to embrace the 80's floral. Some day, when I'm a highly paid public school teacher, I'll get a sleek mid-century modern sofa. Until then I'm going for "boho."
