what a load of crap. if you've had a bad experience with a company, that's fine. you don't need to lie.

i've been interested in a lounge chair from these guys, but as they're also an amazon.com seller, it's probably best to go through amazon. free prime shipping, and if it's no good, amazon will handle the return no questions asked.

i'd bet you have more to worry about sparks from the housing than heat from the lamp. frayed paper edges like that catch quite quickly.

keep in mind the bamboo touch does not ACTUALLY support multi-touch. like some laptop touchpads (some with old macbooks may remember hacked drivers did this), it uses a trick to make a guess as to how many fingers are on the pad. however this is limited to two fingers and you will never see more than two finger gestures on this device. also because of this, its tracking of two finger gestures is sometimes a little flaky. that said, it's a great pen-based tablet, especially for the money.

there have been rumours and leaked photos of an actual external multi-touch touchpad by apple, so that's another thing to keep in mind.

fastmac was selling these for $10 not too long ago, what happened?

USB 2.0 is on its way out, anyway. by the time you get them and get around to installing them, you'll be staring at 3.0 devices on this very blog :)

those things are a bunch of baloney, and i'm really surprised to see them recommended on a technology blog. the FTC has gone after manufacturers of such devices a number of times because there is zero scientific evidence to support their efficacy. they have since changed their marketing language, and you will notice no direct claim of effectiveness - that should be a warning sign.

sounds like a great place to install a key logger.

a tip for those smelly fingers: if you have a stainless kitchen faucet, rub your hands and finger tips on it while washing them.

oh, and while the basic argument is pretty backwards, it's also worth noting that these home filters cannot remove the trace pharmaceuticals in the first place.
