One year, my mother had a 5 year old, an 18 month old and a 5 month old (and a dog!) during Christmas time. To lessen the stress of having a tree with us around, she had us decorate our own ornaments (glitter, constructions paper, etc.) and she created a green contstruction paper Christmas tree on our wall in our apartment. We've made fun of her for years for this DIY experiment. Now, it seems I must apologize and bow to her creativity :)
