I'm in -- and glad for the extra motivation to finally getting around to reading this!

A funny -- and kind of pathetic! - story. I bought the book last year (with a generous borders' coupon), and put it aside. It's been in a box since we moved last September. I was so excited about the book club and wonderful selection that I ran out and bought a copy last night, only to have my husband remind me -- don't you already have this??

As the saying goes, out of sight -- out of mind. But I'm looking forward to having this on my mind for the next couple of weeks!

Thanks for everyone's suggestions!! I've spent some time looking into each one and have found some great options.

Jcinia, I did contact R&B, and they gave me the manufacturer's contact info. They may be able to make one for me, I just have to wait for the cost/shipping info. Hopefully it isn't too much but at least now I have some good alternatives.

timmy, my husband did pull up the mattress and saw slats on the platform, allowing the mattress to breath.

My husband and I recently placed our order for the Nook bed in Chalk with Design Public. We saw it at the new Blu Dot showroom at ABC carpet and thought it was great. Quality seemed just as good (if not better) than the dozens of other beds we had been seeing in our search. The headboard is sleek yet still cozy -- and we are looking forward to no longer bruising our shins on the sharp edges of our current bed!

The guacamole color is a little different in person (not as bright), so maybe you could order a swatch to get a better idea of it. The good thing about the cover is that you can remove it, wash it, and replace it if/when you get tired of guacamole.

I've ordered with Design Public before, and their customer service so far has been fantastic.

Good luck!
