While any parent with a mobile device has used it for a quick distraction for younger kids, I'm a little disturbed by the baby photo at the top of this post. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends NO screen time for kids under two for a reason - it's bad for them. In fact, studies have shown that watching even "educational" videos (a la Baby Einstein) will make your infant LESS smart, and that the best way to "smarten" your kids is to play with them and read to them and overall spend time one-on-one with them. So, I get it - my kid uses the iPad too - but I hope AT will not be in the habit of normalizing screen time for the very young. Some of the most amazing community building in going on in Detroit. There is misery in any city in the country, and there is vibrancy. I love it! Very clever and Aubrey Beardsley-esque.
