I prefer a warm gray personally...but it really has no effect on my sleep. I could get 9 hours easy and still want to take a nap during the day. Since I was little, being able to sleep has been my super power. I think it also helps, my eye lids aren't that thin, so I am not light sensitive when I sleep.

First off...awesome paint, I love this shade of gray. Second, I think there are missing pics... OF THE CLOSET. I WANT TO SEE MORE CLOSET!!!! Seriously, I want to see a full room shot of your closet, it looks totally awesome from the little glimpse.

This was the light I voted for...I really like it. Honestly, I think it looks really good in the space.

My beau got me an 8 bit rose for Valentines and I thought it was the coolest gift ever. Now I want the clutch and the glasses to match.

I think "Gotmilk" really said it all. Please try those options before you rehome. Adult cats are hard to get adopted and it is so hard on the animal leaving the home that they know.

You would be surprised, how often you can find Le Creuset on sale, either online or at William Sonoma. I bought my 3 pieces (3.5 qt round, 4.5 qt round, 6.5 quart oval dutch oven) for what it would have cost for one full price at WS just because they were no longer carrying that color. Plus I have heard stories that sometimes you can find it at Good Will or Salvation Army. I have not had the pleasure of finding any in my area, but I have still heard stories about it and am always on the look out.

I have Duck Hunt and Super Mario 3 and a working NES on my media cabinet...can you tell I am very proud. I got it when I was either 10 or 11 for my birthday. I just went back to my parents house recently and finally got it dug out of one their closets. All adapters there, all my games. I was so excited and even more over the moon when we hooked it up and everything still worked. Only problem is...I remember being a better Mario player than my current skills are telling me I am.

Le Creuset cleans up great even over time. If it starts to get discolored (browning in the bottom and on the sides) there are 2 ways to take care of it: Le Creuset cleaner or make a clear broth soup like chicken soup. Making chicken soup in my 5.5 qt makes it look like new every time. Also, go to Le Creusets website, they are guaranteed...so if they start to show craking or wearing of the enamel under normal use they will replace it.

I got my set of Le Creuset from William Sonoma here on sale a few years ago. They were no longer going to stock the blue. Each piece was between 60-80% off (I bought 3 pieces at the time). Also, I have seen sales on Amazon for closeout pieces from different stores, its worth a look. I really feel that they are worth every penny at full price after having them for this long, but I was so glad I was able to get my set all at once, because of the sale.

Ham hocks...that's the secret to good beans...ham hocks, salt and time. Don't let the beans cook dry either. Keep adding water if you need it. My father made the best pinto beans in the world as I was growing up. I just recently started making them myself (why on Earth it took me this long to make them I will never know). I can't stop making beans now. If I have a free day on the weekend, that is what my beau and I will have for dinner with some corn bread and sauteed collard greens (with bacon and onion). Good stuff, but now I'm hungry.

I came home for Christmas a few years ago...my sister gave me 2 gifts, one rather extravagant, the other basic/practical and something I had coveted that mother had owned...she gave me an engraved Tiffany's braclet in the little blue box and my very own kwik kut food chopper ($5 food chopper). I loved both, but I cried over getting the kwik kut. I wear the bracelet everyday but that little chopper makes me misty eye every time I use it...and I use it a lot. I LOVE THAT KWIK KUT!

I got a "FoPatch" kid the first year that cabbage patches came out. You couldn't buy one to save your life, sold out everywhere where we lived. I thought the elves had jacked up my doll before getting it to me, because it just didn't look quite right. I got 2 real cabbage patch dolls the next year. After that, I actually preferred the fake one, her name was Jill...I don't remember the names of the other 2.

I have my parents Grundig stereo cabinet. The turn table needs work (the guy at the shop thinks its a simple restore job...lets hope), but the speakers work beautifully, as does the radio and the reel to reel. I had a cable made that is a 5 pin den to 3.5mm, so I can go between using the reel to reel or any ipod or mp3 player. I love that stereo.

I just found out recently that my sister is freaked out by a lot of things in my house...as in she is afraid of antiques, especially the vintage kitchen scissors that I recently bought. I thought it was funny, but she explained "you never know what you may drag into your house that way".

I have a fear of spiders that I have been slowly getting over for years. There is a huge spider (probably an orb weaver) I named Steve (though its probably female) that lived outside my shed. I watched it create 3 beautiful webs and kept tabs on it daily. The other day Steve was gone, it made me kinda sad.

My top 5:

1. 2 quarts of frozen red chili from Roberto's (for enchilidas or posole or whatever)
2. At least 5 lbs of Hatch green chili, roasted (can't live with out it)
3. 2 lbs hamburger 90/10
4. 1 container of my mother's posole, this is liquid gold and can be used for bartering in some parts.
5. Parmesan rinds...for soups and sauces
