I have a reclaimed wood table and have been using it for about 10 years. I purchased it from a local artisan. The stains and such (crayons, markers, etc) do blend in and add to the character, but getting food out of the cracks has been my biggest obstacle. I have 3 young children and finally had to move this table to my patio. As much as I hated to do this, it was a necessity. They just aren't easy to wipe up and keep clean.
