Soap is one thing, but I've gone without shampoo for about 6 months now! The power of baking soda is amazing! I was my hair with a mix of about a tablespoon of baking soda mixed with a cup of water and then a vinegar rinse! It took a few weeks for my hair to adjust but I've gotten more compliments on my hair now than I did when I was using shampoo and conditioner.

As for other things like deodorant - you'd be surprised at the amount of recipes that call for you to make your own just using coconut oil, baking soda, and cornstarch!

I can't remember the last time I spent any money on toiletries!

My curse is the refrigerator! I can never seem to get to cleaning it out and then I have a spill and have to take EVERYTHING out and clean it. I need to be better about making sure it's consistently clean and food is rotated well!

I'm the gal that posted this question and I am so grateful for all the help you are all sending my way! I've used this scrub since I was in high school and now that I am significantly into my late 20's, I thought I might try something else! I am also curious, with Sarah!F on how you store these scrubs. I tend to use mine in the shower, and the humidity of the bathroom worries me. Thanks AT readers!!

Good Questions

I drink raw milk because of my lactose intolerance. I've read and researched a lot on lactose intolerance, and a lot of it is caused during the pasturization process. Since switching to raw milk about 4 months ago, I have had NO significant episodes because of it and my husband and I drink it/eat it with cereal/etc., almost every day. I firmly believe that raw milk is the way to go, especially for people with lactose intolerance!
