I'd take any of those over my Brooklyn rental's bathroom. It has grellow and beige tiles, a grellow tub (with the faucet and drain on opposite sides-- no joke!), a grellow sink in a brown and cream "marble" vanity, and disgusting glittery sea shell wallpaper (applied very poorly, with dried glue leaks). It is really *that* bad. I have sort of embraced the awfulness with a fun Ikea octopus shower curtain, but if anyone has any advice for me bring it on... :)

The "before" is a really nice dresser, but the after is awesome! Clearly she saw potential and customized it to her vision for a great-looking kids' room. Oh and I would love to live in a world where painting a dresser is a tragedy, just sayin'.

That entryway is gorgeous!! I happen to love all the blue-gray and find it very comforting; I think all the natural light and wood touches here and there keep it warm.

My dollhouse had a very similar table and chairs (in black instead of red). I love all the details-- piano! chandelier! toilet paper!. Total perfection.

These just came out of my oven and they smell amazing! I used almonds (which I forgot to chop), unsweetened dried cherries, and Arrowhead Mills puffed rice cereal, and coconut oil for greasing. They seemed really sticky with the brown rice syrup, so I didn't add any PB or cocoa. I imagine a whole slew of things would work for this recipe: coconut, cocoa nibs, goji berry powder, almond butter... I'm also curious if I can do a PB version without any brown rice syrup or honey (i.e. no sugar), sweetened with stevia (currently my partner cannot have any type of sugar; he even has to limit his fruit intake)... I will let you know if I try this! Thank you for the recipe! :)

I made a vegan version of this last night and it was SO GOOD! And easy-- except for slicing through that dang acorn squash. I roasted the squash and garlic as per directed; heated a small amount of olive oil in a pan and sizzled the fresh rosemary and a generous sprinkle of red pepper flakes, then added the squash, garlic, and a splash of white wine, then about a cup of pasta water (did not use any broth); finally tossed the mixture with the pasta (Lensi casarecce-- good stuff) and some toasted pine nuts. Nom nom nom...

Congrats on the engagement! Talk about a highs and lows.

For those of you with microwaves, I can't recommend the original Bed Buddy enough, a heat pad of sorts which is stuffed with what smells like rice. (Bonus: it can also go in the freezer.) Lately I always have Vick's vapor rub on hand, as well as lots of tea, lemon, and (local) honey. And I try to always keep white rice, crunchy snacks, and seltzer in the house.

MsTiggy, you are not alone! Celery is the one vegetable I truly loathe. Therefore my solution is to simply leave it out.

Victoria sauce is delicious! Like Rao's, but cheaper. Hate most other jarred sauce because it's sugary and too pureed.

These look fab! I might try to veganize these, swapping the buttermilk for (unsweetened) soy milk with a spoonful of apple cider vinegar mixed in.
