When I worked at a candy store that specialized in "gourmet" caramel apples we made sure to pull the apples the night before so they wouldn't be cold and to be 100% sure they were dry as those are the biggest reasons that the caramel would slip other than it being hot/humid outside Caramel Apple Tip: Bust Out The Sandpaper Bakingdom |

@sarahbelle I don't think an egg slicer would work...those wires are more or less fortified floss, I doubt they'd stand up to a raw potato. Too bad though that's a great idea! A Twist on the Usual: Sliced & Seasoned Baked Potatoes |

I have a black set similar to this from Target that I got a couple years ago and I love it! Many times I only use one of the racks (I tend to cut down recipes frequently) but other times having a few to stack is amazing! There isn't a lot of space between the racks so it's not good for cooling cakes or pies or anything but it's awesome for cookies! 3-Tier Stackable Cooling Rack from World Market Daily Find |

I just went on a 9 hour road-trip to NC with a friend and since we were taking my car and I planned the route and everything she was in charge of snacks. Her parents have the most brilliant road-trip accessory: a cooler that plugs into the cigarette lighter and is basically a mini fridge for the car! She took just about everything she'd gotten in her farm share and made it into some sort of finger food. We had hard boiled eggs, cucumber slices, a big bag of sliced peppers, and a quart sized container of home made baba. It was perfect! Dashboard Dining: Do You Drive & Dine? |

For the Disney ones they have artists that are given permission to re-interpret the characters/images and at least for the little mermaid one in this list (I haven't looked into anything else yet) it's being sold through a Disney affiliate of sorts. Trend Spotting: Vintage Posters for New Movies |

We have a peach tree in our back yard and we learned long ago that the easiest way to peel a peach is to lightly score an x into the bottom and then blanch them (quickly submerge in boiling water for maybe 10-15 seconds and then take out and quickly shock cold in ice water) then the skins are really easy to get off. I've only recently started going to my local farmers market in Cleveland and it seems that prices are less than at the grocery store, there is more variety, and you can certainly get smaller quantities. In fact most of the vendors of fruits and veggies and herbs are so nice and helpful I wouldn't give it a second thought to ask if I could get a smaller portion and see what they said. It's True!
