I too use olive oil instead of butter on the bread for a nice crunch. Some sauteed apple slices tucked into the melted cheese is super tasty.

I think this would work better with a fuller, shorter vase and maybe crab apples instead of full size ones.

I discovered this method just a few weeks ago when I only had a few minutes to make lunch and the polenta was going to take way too long on the stove.

I've used the microwave in the past to make El Torito-like corn cakes and they've come out super fluffy so I figured the result for the polenta would be very similar.

Definitely out of my budget, but I think that AT posts things like this for us to gain inspiration from. Maybe we can find a similar one that is more affordable. Or better yet, maybe we can figure out how to make one on our own.

We truly love our balcony and it is more of a main room for us since we spend so much time on it. It is definitely our space to escape.

We've yet to find great Adirondack chairs on clearance, so the plastic ones have remained for now.

Regarding our collection of Buddhas, we have a few more that are featured here on my blog.

Thanks for the feedback and we'll post those new chairs when we find them.

Next to your bed, is that a giant slice of carrot cake encased in plexiglass? Because if it is, that is just awesome!

I use my camera phone constantly when window shopping. It's a great way to capture an image/backdrop for decorating inspiration or to remember that I want to go back and purchase a certain item (with a shot of the price tag) when I actually have the funds.

I have no problem with positioning art lower than eye level. In our bathroom, where a towel bar and clothes hooks occupy most of the space, the framed art is on the floor leaning against the wall.
