I have task lamps in my kitchen. I don't like standard overhead lighting in the kitchen and these lights are great for focusing light on work areas like washing dishes or when I am using the cutting board. I use Tolomeo table and clamp lights.

is that top divider removable? if so, an end table with a large pottery lamp next to the sofa would be my choice. otherwise stck to the book concept.

Yikes, Frank NYC is too complex to be reduced to general terms. But speaking in specifics; Mr Kaufman's credentials don't offer hope for the unique character of the Chelsea. Now back to general terms; NYC has always changes, some good and bad decisions have been made. Let's hope that places like the Chelsea are here long after the people who currently own it are gone.

let me say first that deborah needleman is the only reason i buy the wall street journal on saturdays, love that off duty section and the magazine, the watercolors are charming, but a little copy might tempt me more.

too bad, the mock up looks so wrong. we finally got rid of all the over scaled corporate installations ie kodak, etc. and this diverts attention from the architecture.
