I just spent two nights there this past Sunday/Monday and absolutely recommend that you add it to your short list of getaways for the summer! Its glamorous summer camp with gourmet meals, picnics to the beach, Republic Dutch bikes to rent, midcentury Cousteau ish design and best...they not only let you bring your dogs - they pamper them too! I make a salad along these lines which always pleasantly surprises my guests. I wash and dry the romaine, cut each full one in 1/2 then drizzle with olive oil S&P and then grill for about 1 minute each side. The grill leaves beautiful marks on the romaine and adds a nice smoky taste to the leaf. I premix a topping like blue cheese, bacon & walnut or dates, orange, pistachio (seasonal, global) to add to each 1/2 salad and serve immediately whilte the romaine is still hot.
