I think I got this tip here, but I have had great success with taping bay leaves in hidden areas (under cabinet shelves). It probably won't solve a huge problem, but it has made it a far more rare sighting in my townhouse than before. Gotta love cheap and safe!!! How Can I Get Rid of Cockroaches? Good Questions |

Does anyone have concerns about self-cleaning cycles being unsafe? I read that they can be dangerous to pets and pregnant women. Seeing as I'm expecting, I don't plan to risk it and will just be scrubbing by hand. Just curious if any one else had done any more research than me. I've been decorating cakes for awhile, but am in no way a professional. But if I had to start over again, I would go with supplies from Ateco instead of Wilton. The quality is better and it offsets the price difference. Have fun!!! What Cake Decorating Supplies Do I Need?Product & Shopping Questions |

On the same topic, has anyone magically gained the nose timer? I bake a lot and one day I just started being able to smell when my baked goods are done. I spoke with a friend who is a home-ec teacher and she told me it's actually pretty accurate, as long as you don't forget! The best way I can describe it is if I am in the general vicinity of the kitchen, all of a sudden I can smell my baked goods. They are usually done at that point. I recommend the CI tip to tear your ball of cookie dough in half and place rough edges up on top of each other. You will get slightly crisp edges with a gooey center every time. I know that's texture and not flavor, but it took my cookies to a whole new lever and I couldn't help but share. Help Me Make Better Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookies Good Questions |

Our favorite thanksgiving appetizer is stuffed mushrooms! We've done all sorts of fillings, but it's become a tradition (and one of my favorites). I would put it to the left of the fireplace, preferably hidden in an armoire. (Get one with a swivel shelf so when you are watching tv, you can put it at the best angle for viewing.) Place a bookshelf to the right of the fire place to make it look balanced. Then I would suggest a sofa along the windows and two club chairs or something facing the fire place. Just my opinion! We have a very long master bedroom, so we've put a couch at the foot of our bed. We ended up with a skinny "behind the couch" table from an estate sale that we put between the bed and the couch. Our 80 lb lab pup loves it! He sleeps there every night, which is perfect for us because we got our bed back! The Best Piece Of Furniture According To Your Pets |

I ordered this for my mom last year and it came in the wrong color. I quickly ordered another to get her gift in time with the thought that I'd return the extra later. Because I saw your review and got a pretty good deal on it, I ended up keeping it. It is so awesome to be able to put out homemade ice cream as a quick simple dessert. Highly recommend this! Definitely leave the pit in. I was told by an expert to leave the pit in, wrap it in foil and then wrap it in plastic. Usually just plastic works for me, but definitely in the fridge.
