I just sucked it up and drilled the holes. Save the "cookie" that comes out of the saw bit if it's a rental, and plaster it back in when you move out. You're going to need to patch some holes anyway, so it won't be THAT much more work. Don't forget to run a string to help you add more wires easiily later. I actually thought these were quite hot until I realized they were made from real coffins. The whole green aspect doesn't really seem to fly, but I can see how it would have some novelty effect.
