The switch plates were original and had been painted over at some point (likely many times). There was no way to remove them without damaging the wall, so we opted to create a clean line with painter's tape. I loved reading all of the comments! A bold color like this can be a little polarizing, but this was a fun one to work on. And of course I am always partial to pink. I agree, the sheen looks very glossy in the photo, but it doesn't look like that normally. There was an extremely bright light in the hallway for the video shoot, and without it there is no glaring shine. Hi, Nicole here. Eliza's is the most subtle transformation of the three that I worked on. The blue looks pretty on screen, but it was gorgeous in person – it changes with the light. The nesting coffee tables are from IKEA. I also brought in a new lamp for her (in the corner) from west elm, and a pillow from Crate & Barrel. Eliza had some amazing art, and I had wanted to hang a different piece over the sofa, but we didn't have the proper hardware to do so. The picture that I did use is beautiful though, and has special meaning for her. I wish there was a closer photo so you could see it more clearly! Thanks for sharing Eleanor's bedroom here! Yes, I reached out initially to Land of Nod to partner with them for furnishings. I chose everything myself and received the some of the furniture in the room as part of a sponsored deal. The catalog wasn't part of our original agreement, but they liked what I did so much that they wanted to recreate the room. They wrote to me and let me know about it before doing so, and they gave credit to me as the inspiration for the room's design ("isn't it lovely").
