Hi there,

Does anyone have a Childcraft crib? I'm wondering about the matte white finish -- is it a true white, or a bit off-white?

We ordered the Euro / no-dropside / Sommerville / Shaker Ridge (name seems to vary depending on where you buy it) crib online, but it's on back order.

We're trying to buy a used dresser to "match" the crib, without having actually seen the white finish in person. Any idea what sort of white I should be looking for?

Thanks!

You can also use white vinegar to to fry weeds (evil dandelions) on hot, sunny days. Just spray on enough to saturate the plant, being careful not to get it all over your grass, as it will fry that, too. Works best on sunny days with dry soil.

I've used regular 5% distilled white vinegar, but higher concentrations would probably work better.

Not sure how many ATers have yards, but ours is being overtaken with weeds, and we didn't want to use RoundUp or other weed killers due to the negative impact on the environment.

Our stairs are solid oak and beautiful, but our aging dog keeps slipping on them and we're afraid she'll get hurt. Add to that a baby on the way, and we need some stairtherapy. Most stair pads are so ugly -- these are great!

At the recommendation of a (older, wiser) friend, I have used cold black tea to strip residue off of wood furniture before. It is very gentle and gets the surface quite clean without harming the finish. You might want to try that.

Gorgeous! I just picked one up. Any ideas for where to find a cheap (but decent looking) poster frame in the 24" x 34" size?
