I used Bissel fabric/upholstery cleaner in an individual aerosol on an old couch, and it worked wonders, but it is definintely not green and smells terrible. The smell disappears after a while, though, and it really does clean.

I have a marble counter in the kitchen, and I love it. I don't fuss over it, and it still looks great. There are two schools of thought on marble counters: 1) you need to keep them looking pristine and get in a frenzy every time anything mars them (not a good school to belong to if you're going to have marble); and 2) marble has been used in Italian homes forever, and marble looks great even when it gets worn and used (if you believe this, you'll love marble). You should only ever get honed marble, not shiny polished marble, as the latter really will show everything. Honed marble is not as fragile as everyone seems to think, and a few marks and dings, to me, only make it look better.

I love these. I have TWELVE of them in my hallway, all framed together in two groups of six, as though they are portraits of my ancestors, and they make me very happy. They really look wonderful in groups.

We used a really cheap, but pretty, toddler bed, because our daughter loved it, so it made her stay in bed longer.

About once or twice a week, frantically before I leave for work. And I HATE my current iron, which is too light and doesn't get hot enough. So I need this iron.

I have a crewel rug that I bought about 20 years ago, and it STILL looks pretty good, with just a few stitches missing. My only caveat is don't ever leave the rug folded for a long period of time, as the folding crease will never come out after that. Good luck

I'm with all the others who say it depends on the size of the tv and its prominence. If it's smallish and discreet, it's fine.

I have allergies, too, and use a Venta Airwasher, available various places, including Gracious Home in New York, and now at Bed Bath & Beyond. They are expensive to begin with, but I love them -- they work just by running the air through water, which also humidifies the air in winter when it's so dry inside. After a week (when you change the water), the water is full of dirt and dust that would otherwise have gone into our lungs. I really recommend these filters.

Definitely send it back. Aulaire is right that pokey feathers only get worse with time. A properly-made couch should have a feather-resistant fabric under the uphostery.

Seems like I'm the only one who HATES BBB. But I do. It's crowded, hard to find things, never has what I want, and I always end up asking someone who works there, "How do I get out of here?"

Hello: completely unrelated, but does anyone know where I can buy a print of this rooster and hen photo? Thanks
