I'm also a writer and editor, and I thought "Word Crimes" was very funny. I doubt that non-language lovers would bother to watch it all the way through.

I like this apartment, especially all the blues. However, the writing is horrible. In addition to the many grammatical and syntactical errors, it should have been "on Russian Hill," not "in Russian Hill." Who says "I live in a hill?"

I have about 15 dishcloths. I use a new one every day. I think sponges are yucky.

Unlike all of you high-energy people, I never wash the dishes after dinner. After having been at work all day and then fed the dogs and fixed dinner, I am more than ready to read or surf the net or watch a movie before bed. I have much more energy to face the dishes after my morning coffee.

I enjoy deserved potshots in all contexts and this one was well-deserved.

#5:

When I lived alone, I told my supervisor and co-workers to check on me if I didn't show up at work because I'd never not call if I was going to be late or unable to come in that day.

My three dogs, especially the 105 pound springer mix(!), would deter anyone who wanted to break in. I once hired two guys to do some yard work once a week or so. After a few weeks, I began to be uneasy about one of them--something about the coldness of his eyes. He once remarked that one of my dogs seemed vicious. I did not disabuse him of his impression; she was a very sweet and loving dog but I felt safer knowing he was afraid of her.

Probably because she absolutely deserves it, gratuitous or not.

I've been thinking of submitting my place for a house call for a while. After seeing this loft, I wouldn't dare.

This is the best AT house tour ever.

I would love to visit this house and have a long look around it.

However, I have to again bring up the feather issue. Whether you like it or not, collecting most feathers is illegal.

Best of luck to you, Seamstress, and also to Beltway Barbarian. You are both inspiring.

I think this is the first time that I've smiled at the end of an AT house tour. The dogs are darling and Abby clearly loves them. And the house is absolutely beautiful.

I think it's wonderful. Ashley is clearly very talented.
