Gretchen, LOOOOVE what you've done with the place. I didn't recognize it at first, then Amy saw the fireplace. You've got a great mix of old and new and the colors are a great backdrop for your unique pieces. All respect to the guy from Dallas, but I think this is way better.

We used Aura paints for a recent renovation and agree. It's a thick durable finish with a very mild "new paint" smell that faded within an hour or so. The painters were surprised it went on pretty so easliy it 1 coat (plus touch ups and cut-ins). Only downside is we have about half a gallon of each color left as they didn't use as much as they thought they would.

not working for me either. I've gotten used to starting the slideshow on auto and using the arrow keys to go past the images i'm not drawn to.

best part is you can transplant the newspaper right into a pot or the ground when the seed is ready.

i've never seen any ceiling renovated this well. Are there no overhead lights or wiring? Very nice.

3 cutting boards (1 for meats, 1 for veggies and 1 smaller one for cutting kids fruits etc.), all plastic. I never heard that bacteria is harder to remove from plastic boards, but that's good to know. We were motivated by the convenience of dishwasher cleanup.
