I've found that I react much more poorly if I am standing versus if I'm sitting. Is this true for anyone else, and does anyone have an explanation for why this might be?

Just added Pepsid AC to my grocery list. Thank you GLTSOI and FANCYD for the tips!

I've read good reviews of the Conte Ferdinando Guicciardini red wine, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Any chance anyone here has tried it?

I love Google Voice too. One big perk is being able to mark a phone number (ie for a telemarketer) as spam, so you never get calls from that number again.

Instagram seems great, and free is fabulous, but it's only available for iPhones.

mark_m, thank you for the Molome suggestion -- I just downloaded it and like it so far, though I wish it integrated with Tumblr (but Google search tells me that may be coming).

Another suggestion for Blackberry users is InstaPhoto, another Instagram clone.

Pre-roasted is a good idea for me because as much as I love roasted veggies just-out-of-the-oven, I usually get home around 8pm during the week and that's too late for pre-heating to 450 plus roasting and only then starting to eat.

Checking back in -- flat square silicone pot holders did an AWESOME job. I was mostly using the flat-of-the-knife and jar-shaking methods, but this has those beat. Well, except it was kind of fun banging on the garlic with the knife.

Going to try this with my flat square silicone pot holders. Thanks!

I've had a ceramic hippo in my mug for about 15 years now, and I still love every time its eyes start peeping up through my coffee :) Mine, and many other animals, is available for $19 here:

If you select an animal in the "Choose Animal 1:" pull down menu at the bottom, you'll see what that animal will look like in your mug.

Do the towels on the towel dryer get wet? If not, it seems like the shower curtain isn't necessary?

No need for a yogurt maker, crockpot, thermometer, or oven. I've been making Caspian Sea Yogurt for maybe 6 or 7 years now, and the last time I started over with fresh starter culture was about 5 years ago.

Every couple of weeks or so I take out the starter I saved from the previous batch, mix it gently into a half gallon of milk, then cover and leave it on the counter for about a day while it turns into yogurt. When it's done, I save some yogurt from the middle of the container as the starter for the next batch. The rest is mixed together then eaten over the next week or two (saved in the refrigerator for that time).

I would wait to paint it until you've picked furniture/decor for the rest of the room, then paint (or not) to match. Otherwise you'll working to make the rest of the room match the trunk, and that seems more constraining.

I've been doing something like this, and have been interested in finding a half-height (maybe 3 feet tall?) room divider .. but haven't had any luck yet. Does anyone here know of a good source? I don't have the room for a bookcase or anything with real depth -- would just like it to be a screen or wood panel.

I use my hard plastic spatula -- it's free, because I already own it :)

I use towels like these (but cut or folded into smaller sizes): http://www.amazon.com/Salux-Nylon-Japanese-Beauty-Cloth/dp/B000EZOC1O

They are slightly but not harshly abrasive, dry very quickly, and can be tossed in the washing machine.

This is a good idea, but I also think it would work fine to freeze in the plastic container, then sit the frozen plastic container in the hot water to pop the soup out and put in a bag back in the freezer. It would be difficult for me to find the flat "floor space" in my freezer to lay out a muffin pan.
