Does anyone know where I can find a solid green round area rug for our new nursery? I feel as if I have seen them on Ohdeedoh before, but I can't find anything in the archives. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and thankfully do not have to cook this year, but I can imagine how the idea of prepping the turkey would be unpleasant. I roasted a chicken a few weeks ago and that was not fun! You could buy one precooked somewhere. Since you can't do your traditional thing, you could make the meal really different, just for fun. Instead of a roasted turkey, you could buy a cajun or deep-fried turkey, change up some of the side items (not all of them - I know how people are about their favorite sides!), and just enjoy the difference this year. We just got our first Whole Foods in Tennessee. Of course, it ended up in the neighborhood frequented by Nicole Kidman and Jessica Simpson (oh, and Prince William)... a neighborhood I avoid like the plague. We went to WF one time just after it opened, and the vast luxury of the WF and the surrounding boutiques was overwhelming and so darn pretentious. So, we won't be trekking over to the other side of town very often for the privilege of spending too much money at WF. We'll stick with our ghetto Kroger, the tiny, local natural foods market, and occasional trips to our downtown farmers market. "Disneyland" is an extremely apt description, Faith, because I feel like we will go to WF only if we're aching for a diversion from the real world! It's probably waaaay too late to post a comment about this, but... here goes: A house inspector who writes a regular column for the Nashville weekly paper said ventless fireplaces are not a good idea. "They are ROOM-VENTED and LUNG-FILTERED." I'll never forget that quote, and it totally curbs my desire for another gas fireplace, although I find some of them very charming. I like to have anything cheesy when my husband isn't around, because he's not a big fan of cheese. So, mac-n-cheese, pasta with piles of cheese on top, or a grilled cheese with tomato. Yum! I cannot choose - they are all so fabulous. I just got a set of Calphalon pots for my wedding, but these are just amazing - and in my wedding color!
