I loved my trundle bed growing up, but it was mostly for overnight guests. (My younger sister had her own room but would spend 6 weeks every summer on the trundle when grandma came to visit.) One thing worth noting for planned regular use: With the typical setup it is pretty tricky to get out of the "regular" bed without stepping on the trundle, below, especially for short legs.

The demo looks fabulous (and about a million times better than the before pics) and your writing cracks me up. The mood board is a dream, of course. :-)

I work in downtown Minneapolis, home of the flagship store, just a block away from HQ. When I got to there at 7:20 - twenty minutes after opening - it was nearly decimated. I found a solo tray in home goods and a single pair of mittens left while rushing past me were people with carts FULL of stuff. I had some luck on the website though. Once Target announced on FB that their website was up and running again (for like, two minutes) I grabbed my favorite sweater vest online. WHEW! The clerks said it was worse than Black Friday and I was lucky to escape without cuts and scrapes. He wasn't kidding! :-)

I had the same problem with my cat, Mr. Sophie and after trying everything I was admitedly at my wits end when a rather unconvential option occured to me. I wrote a letter and posted it directly above the toilet paper. It read:

Dear Mr. Sophie,
Please refrain from unrolling the toilet paper. May I suggest chasing your tail for an alternate activity.

Thank you.

I am resigned to the fact that Soph's sudden change of behavior (he did indeed stop!!) was due to some other unseen factor but I prefer to believe that he just appreciated my being polite about it.

As much as I loved the glimpses inside a world beyond my university academic advisor salary, this is the sort of home I expect to see in Living, Etc or House Beautiful. It's difficult for me to see any reasonable similarity to my own space and the inspiration I'm getting is relegated to the "If I won the lottery" file.
