Lived in an loft for three years with some exposed brick. Didn't have any temperature problems as the walls were about a foot thick, but bugs and dust were a huge nightmare. A brown recluse spider crawled out of a hole in the brick OVER MY BED. Not to mention the endless roaches and beetles. The wood floors were constantly covered in dust and it took a while to figure out where it was coming from. Prefer not to do it again. I can't stand the feeling of those "crumbs" under my feet.

Yeah this is really smart. I would've loved these. I was obsessed with making kleenex and scotch tape "casts" for my American Girl dolls. So much so that my grandma bought the wheelchair for their frequent injuries.

Growing up I always used those popcorn tins as drums.

I'm confused. How is this related to stomach ulcers?

Luckily I have a 6 ft long desk with a hutch shelf thing in the back that my cat will sleep under. -Most of the time. Sometimes he NEEEDS to be right next to me, which is a real problem. The worst thing is when he lays on my mbpro keyboard because it's warm, and uses the screen as a chair back. Ugh. I recently dug enough hair out of that computer to build another cat. He also stretched one time and pried off the space bar, which then made me have to replace the keyboard. It kills me how he'll jump up on the desk and stand obliviously in between my face and my monitor wanted to be petted.

-QueenOfTheFall I'm sure it was a sad day for cats everywhere when CRT "beds" no longer existed.

The pink would be better if it was actually the shade used in the 50s instead of Pepto Bismol pink. My grandmother had a pink kitchen and still uses a pink hand mixer. I have her pink kitchen table which I treasure.

I had no idea avocado green could look that attractive. Gives me hope.

I guess I'm not hot sauce expert because I just tend to use Texas Pete. Although from the looks of it, I should try Tapatio. I hate Tabasco. Sriracha is sooo good though, I just wish I knew what to put it on other than in spicy mayo!

YES. I've been suffering with a non functional scroll wheel at work for months. Just fixed it with the paper rolling method.

The cost of going to the movie theater has cut the number of times I go 75%. Blockbuster can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned, I hated when it was the only option. There were so many problems with that place I wouldn't know where to begin.

So it's Netflix from the Wii, through the mail, and the occasional trip to the theater for something I REALLY REALLY want to see.

Also, in Atlanta we're lucky to have both a drive in ($7 for a double feature!) and the Plaza Theatre, which shows old b&w movies and some new. Both of those offer more of an experience than going to some overpriced run of the mill modern theater.

Oh, another doll to consider are the My Twinn dolls. They're also expensive, but they are made custom to look like the owner. I have one made to look like me growing up that I also played with.

I had six American Girl dolls growing up and I loved and played with them endlessly. I got the first one when I was about 6, Molly. I see plenty of small girls carrying around American Dolls. I don't really see a reason why a 3 or 4 year old couldn't play with them. Some come with small accessories but you could just hide them until you feel she is old enough to not eat them or something. They are certainly no more inappropriate for a 3 year old than Barbie is. They're expensive but in my opinion worth every penny. Mine are still in perfect condition except Molly, who could probably stand to have her hair replaced...
