I like everything except the swivel beauty shop chair; it just seems out of place. But a very comfortable soothing looking place.

Are the TV and bookshelves in the closet? That wasn't clear from the pictures and diagram. Living area is very nice and uncluttered. Do you have any place to eat sitting down, other than at the sofa? I might move the nice trunk and put two stools at the counter if this were my apartment. But it seems like you are headed in the right direction.

My vote is for A. But I was tempted to vote for B. Some of the handmade 20th century Windsors are very pricey.

Very nice room; just enough touches of color for my taste: the oriental rug, edging on the pillows, a few colored art works.

Now where can I get that piano stool that is serving as end table by the sofa. I need something like that for my harpsichord. Most of those revolving stools are so victorian looking.

This is so good. I keep coming back to look at the pictures again and again. Love that you've a a piano in that tiny space and it doesn't even seem crowded. And love the special chest of drawers under the "American" sign.

Love the dog. We have a red and white Corgi, too; when its thundering outside and she really needs to be on the bed with us, we push the ottoman that normally lives under a table in the bed, up against the bed, and up she jumps.

The bedroom is definitely my favorite room here; the color combinations are so pleasing.

1. The cofffee setup: Chemex, burr grinder, Cruisanart electric kettle; Bodum French press on the weekends.
2. The decorative melamine trays I use to carry the fresh coffee up to the bedroom each morning. Six of them to pick from, all lovely.
3. A 30 y/o Sabatier carbon steel 10" knife. Not our fanciest knife, but definitely the most used.
4. The little LED flashlights I use for taking the dog out after dark.
5. My harpsichord & clavichord. Play them every day.

It is a beautiful color. But I'm not sure I like the overall effect. It is so much purple that the room seems monochromatic, and actually a little boring visually. Its not a room I would care to live in, let alone sleep in.

Wow. This is done so well! Every room looks comfortable and inviting. The colors are pleasing without being distracting. Many nice details, like the 3 postcards of the bluebirds under the medicine cabinet. The bookcases in the living room, framing the tv, and topped by the craftsman style windows are wonderful. I'd like to see a picture of the exterior of the house to see if it matches what I think it might look like!

I think this looks pretty dorky.

The bedroom is my favorite room. Really like the placement of the bookshelves and the wall colors, and the bed linens too.

Wish there was a picture of the storage bathroom just for fun.

They need to wirebrush and paint that radiator in the front hallway, before they start taking pictures!

This is a very near miss for me --- it needs justs a touch of textile somewhere to soften things --- a rug, a wall hanging, or maybe a fabric screen divider.

I really like the painted/sculptured man by the turntables a lot.

And would love to spend a Saturday afternoon in that garage.

Distinctive and unique. I wouldn't chose this bold of a color scheme for myself but I have really enjoyed looking at this apartment -- so different from the typical vintage decor we see on AT. Nice job on low budget.

Lived in the Shaw neighborhood many years ago and had a fireplace mantel identical to yours -- quarter-sawn oak, double pillars. But my tiles were no where as interesting and fun of yours. So many nice details here, but doesn't seem fussy in any way.

Love the picture of the pug straddling the chair arm and window sill to get a proper view.

If the brick ledge at the bottom of the is wide and level enough to support it, I would consider removing the fireplace screen, and putting open shelving bookcase units in front of the entire brick feature. Interesting vases, etc in from of the mirrored section would distract from the boat images. I would use the lower section for books, lp's, cd's etc and the upper section for display of photos, artwork, etc.

What a great coffee table!! And like the red walls with the brown paint.

But lots of items here, especially the picture frames, just strike me as dingy and dirty, and I would be looking for ways to get rid of them, not acquire them.

So -- some interesting ideas here, but not a place I would want to call home.

Well I like infinity pools, but I'm not sure about an infinity deck. I think I would be permanently anxious trying to spend time on that deck.

The exposed lath look is ok, I guess, but it can be very dirty also, and I would not chose to have it right next to my glass wear. Makes a nice photo, but not a nice way to live.

I like the feel of this place very much -- the dark warm palate in many of the rooms, especially the dining room with its great collection of bookshelves.

I don't think I'd want to shelve my book in that crisscross pattern however, although I probably is an effective way to cram maximum number of book into a shelf.

I enjoyed the old rotary phone --- hope it is still functioning.

Neutral on the bedding question -- it doesn't bother me but probably could have more interesting selection. What I do like very much is the tryptich of landscapes over the headboard (but it bothers me a little that the one frame doesn't match.)

Lots of interesting furniture, rugs, pictures, books here and one could spend most of the time just curled up in a chair exploring.
