We do something similar to eclecrorama, except we put the whole sheet set in one of the set's pillowcases.

I'd have to say Charlies Soap too. The stuff is great for cleaning baby's stuff as well as Mom and Dad's clothing too!

We use ours on our cloth diapers as well as our regular laundry. You use one tablespoon per load (even in a non-HE machine!) and the stuff is pretty cost-effective, especially for an earth friendly detergent.

I bought a kitchen timer for my son (around $3 at a discount store), because he has a tendency of just standing under the water and not getting soaped up.
The one I bought has large numbers so he can see just how much time he has left.
When the timer goes off, its time to get out, no excuses.

We use small Corelle dishes to heat and serve our children's food. They don't break easily and they don't really outgrow them (only in serving size) so we can use them even after the kids are grown and gone.

I find that a well placed post it note keeps automatic toilets from going off (and I always have them in my purse unless little hands have taken them out).
