This past weekend, my husband and I realized we had a collection of vintage radio cabinets.

We both have really loved the way they look--the different body styles and the different knob designs. And they're just so versatile! One's acting as a buffet, one's an end table, another is a tv credenza. But, this is also coming from a couple who has a relatively empty new house and radios go for cheap.

The interior of my house is all systems go for Halloween. It is the only holiday I really go all out for. I have tubs and tubs or Halloween decor and shop all year long.
Nothing like that photo at all, though.

My husband and I did the display from the bottom photo incorporated into our wedding decor, family wedding photos strewn about with a tea light behind each photo. It was a hit with the guests and something we still hear about.

This was something I was stuck on for a while. Fortunately, shortly after we moved into a new house, I found the perfect complete set of vintage dishes at the Rose Bowl Swap Meet. It was a steal at $56 and was made in the US too. Yeah, it may not be microwave or dishwasher safe but we don't have either.

We're happily functioning with the one TV in the living room. It gives us a chance to spend time in the rest of the house and see our housemates.

When the urge to lay around in bed with a movie going strikes, I just fire up the laptop and snuggle up with Netflix or Hulu.

I have the same color kitchen: sunny, buttery yellow and white cabinets. When choosing the grout color for the kitchen floors I went with a light grey.
It's forgiving and has just enough contrast.

I wasn't aware home ec was gone. I know my high school freshman sister is taking a class called "Life Strategies" that is basically home ec.

In junior high, our home ec class was split in two: sewing and cooking. I had the sewing class and detested it, and then went to school for fashion design.

I was able to pick up a hand-crank grinder at an antique shop for a mere $12 in perfect working order. I don't think they're too expensive, even at swap meets I've seen 'em go for no more than $30.
