Yes, I do. The bank is USAA, and as far as I know, you have to be in the military (or retired) to bank "there." I put that in quotes because I've never been to the branch physically. Geographically, I think it's in San Antonio.

The scanning and depositing system is really, really cool. As long as you print neatly, it's great. You sign your name, and then write "for deposit only to USAA savings bank account number 123456789". Type in the amount of the check, scan the front, rotate and crop the picture as needed, scan the back, repeat edits if needed, and you're done. I've deposited personal checks as well as government-issued checks. It's never given me a hard time about any of them. And, the money is shown in your account instantly.

I'm not sure if this would fly for average folks though...because all of the users are in the military, we're all very easily "accessible" if someone decides to try to hack the system. I just think that far too many people would try to take advantage of it, and this wouldn't make it worthwhile for the bank.

Right...the great Karim Rashid's exterior design will make people spend $3000 on a CD player with a hard drive.

I agree that black and gray can get boring sometimes, but this stuff is hideous. Spirograph?

I've seen these devices too. Until someone comes up with an idea that doesn't cost equal to or more than the cost of my printer, I'm keeping it wired.

If you have a printer connected via a wire to a computer that is already on, you can enable print sharing over a wireless router (usually under $50) and achieve the same thing.

I think this poll should have had a separate category for IE. Firefox and IE shouldn't be the same choice.

I'd love to test this. I go to college for computer networking, so I'll give you some honest feedback.

Anne,
Jabber is right on this...you really, really need to uninstall McAfee before loading up the other programs. Conflicting antivirus programs is not a fun situation.

Windolf, I ditched Norton off of my Dad's machine a month ago. Shaved a minute and a half off the boot up time.

The time of paying for these type of programs is over. I think AVG is the best - I've had it installed on two machines for three years, and have had a total of 0 problems.

As for a firewall, I suggest ZoneAlarm.
