My son missed the cut off by a month. He is gifted and was finding kindergarten work woefully dull. The school district have said he is more than capable of work several grades above what he is currently doing. He is also tall, mature, and very outgoing. They have tested him as gifted and he does one supplemental gifted class a week. However, they are hesitant to accelerate him since so many other patents hold their kids back in school to ensure they are the oldest children in class. So if they agreed to accelerate my son, he woud be in a class with many kids as much as 18 months older than him. I think it's all ridiculous. There are children in his current class who were held back and are clearly finding the work far too easy. Current research shows that kids do better in school by learning from older kids. Unless there is legitimate concern that the child isn't ready, why hold them back? Back to School Considerations: Redshirting |

They use flor carpet tiles all the time! I wish they'd just pick some cool rugs once in awhile. Two Kids' Rooms in a Brooklyn Brownstone Home By Novogratz |

I think the Novogratzes are at their best when they do kids rooms. I love so much about both these rooms but I was really underwhelmed with the portrait artwork. On the other hard I loved the two other framed pieces in the girls room (Mona Lisa and truck). The ceilings, chandeliers and wallpaper were great too. I love the after kitchen! I am not a fan of cherry and would have happily painted it too. Te cement board backsplash looks wonderfully chalky and honing the marble is a great idea. The "before" kitchen was good quality but like you, I wouldn't appreciate the color of the cherry cabinets or the countertop. I think you dd a splendid job! I loved the room but while I was watching the show imagined the chains were lengthened so the beds would be sitting on the floor instead. The swinging beds look cool but no one wants to be swaying every time you roll over in bed! Rustic Hip Teen Bedroom at The Pioneer Woman's Ranch Home By Novogratz |

I'd go with the suggestion of getting a crew in to spray paint everything (walls and ceiling) matte white, or better yet, silver on the ceiling and an off white on the walls. I'd also beg the landlord to let you rip up that carpet. Good luck! How Should I Paint My New Apartment? Good Questions |

I bought both my kids full size beds from West Elm. They were around $600 each including the headboard. They look great and are nice and low to the ground. They also don't look too kid like. When we have guests they can also fit a couple comfortably which is an added bonus. After the Crib: 15 Twin Beds for Big Kids |

Thank you everyone! I'm planning on spray painting the silver portion of the caster black. I'll use a nut to raise the height of the table a bit but I love the low height of the table and since I am planning on mostly using the table while sitting down with the kids to play board games that works. I want a large low surface that doesn't feel too heavy in the room. Once it's made I'll send some pictures! Casters Similar To Tavolo Con Ruote Table? Good Questions |

Thanks everyone! I had considered the cb2 coffee table but it's a bit too small and I really wanted some big chunky back wheels. I think I found what I'm looking for at McMaster Carr for about $35 a pop! Casters Similar To Tavolo Con Ruote Table? Good Questions |
