I have so much craft stuff. I really need to find a better way to organize my craft closets and the plain sad truth is I really need to stop yarn whoring until I get some projects finished up. My stash is just getting out of hand. ~blush~

My idea, like Ralph, is to mirror some shutters. It can offer some privacy when needed and when closed the mirror would be useful. Open it's out of the way and you have all the light you need.

"How To: Refill a "Disposable" Brita Filter"

This is a seriously bad idea. It's better to pay for a good filter than to take a cheap short cut with your health. Remember that your body does NOT come with replacement parts.

I don't have hard wood but I went the frugal rout of using a carpet sample that was unwanted by my sink and chopping area. Anything that spills can be easily cleaned off it, it protects the floors and it's easy to vac or take outside for a good solid shaking. It also has the added benefit of giving some cushioning for long time standing.

The only thing I don't like is doing the bathroom. I would willingly trade laundry, dishes or most anything else to not have to do the bathroom. I do it because I like things tidy but it's definitely my least favorite job

Recently while shopping in a local store I spotted a large tin [101oz. = 3 liters] of Star [brand imported from Spain] extra virgin cold pressed olive oil that was dented but not broken, just a big ding in the side. The normal cost was $30. I took the can with me to the customer service desk and asked if I could get it for a discount because the can was dented. I got $5 off!!! So that's 3 liters for $25 which considering the quality of it being extra virgin cold pressed is very good. When I got home I opened the can immediately and used some for making flavored oils and the rest I put into clean glass old olive oil bottles I already had saved just to be sure the dent didn't turn into a split. All the oil was fine and I got a real bargain. I just wanted to share that since the news would not excite most of my friends as much as it did me. Little victories. [smile]

Well, no, really. I see they have the traditional X ones but not the new one shown in white here. Did I miss something?

You could wander over to Etsy and search for a local sewer in your area and see if you can work out something.

Mine would be peonies, something towards peachy color, and blue hydrangea.

I wouldn't go with white. I would choose something with a higher light saturation than the green. It's to near the gray spectrum and that's why it seems to make everything look dark. A green would work but make it something in a lighter tint. Good luck.

Freezing Mist. I like the green BUT it only works because it picks up the green from the rugs in the other room. If you decide to change the rugs they color may not work as well. The graphite is to dark with the already dark cupboards so I would go with the Freezing Mist so you have options for change later. Counter tops last MUCH longer than rugs so think ahead not just what's working now for high end items.

What I would do is look for a long poster/image. Then I would cut sections for each board so when they line up you could see the whole picture. Something like a panoramic view only I would choose something natural over a cityscape but that's just me.

I've seen that type of fencing in the gardening department of some of the big hardware stores. You could try checking your local home depot, lows, etc.
