BTW, anything containing plastics, styrofoam, sulfates, parabens... they are all considered non-biodegradable... even if they break down over time, their chemical make-up is not changed by the process... Magic Erasers: Toxic or Terrific? |

Stevi, embrace the patina... or go with reclaimed woods to begin with... a lot of homes built in the 1920s to the 40s have a great coat over the wood floors that might as well be a basketball court... you cant scratch it if you try, but i dont know what is used... If the tub is salvageable, but not looking its best, see if you have a Miracle Method franchise near you... sounds gimicky but I interviewed the owner of the company in college, its pretty cool what they can do with whatever stuff is... or another bathroom refinishing product (you always see them in kiosks at the mall) if the wallboard isnt damaged, i'd suggest going over it with a good, waterproof sealed paint (white or a light grey would be great in there). My mother bought a Dyson when she moved back to the US six years ago... its an older model, so its much heavier than the new ones, but it does its duties without ever complaining, and catches a ton of stuff. one of her friends just got the dyson ball (but the smaller model) who new such a light, tiny thing pick up so much crap... downside is emptying more often... miele is 900 bucks for a vacuum... if you have that kind of money to burn on an ugly appliance you still have to buy bags for, be my guest...
