This place is adorable, but I have a burgeoning couple-crush on these two. Leah, Dane, you guys remind me of me and my hubs. Lets be friends! Dane & Leah's Craigslist Kingdom Small Cool Contest |

Outside of a few family members, we barely received any of our registry items, maybe 6-10? Everything else was really random, homemade, or collected from someones spare closet, including an as-seen-on-TV 'griddle', those cheap cookbooks you buy for a kids fundraiser, weird leftover bread tubes from a Pampered Chef party, and an icicle freezy pop thing that's meant to keep white wine chilled. We did get some cash, but to be honest, I couldn't tell you what we spent it on. Wedding Wish List: What's Your Best Registry Advice? |

I'm somewhere between. I sleep well once I'm asleep, but it takes a while sometimes, especially if its too quiet (or too noisy). I love sleeping with the fan on but it drives my husband crazy. The noise, the moving air (even when its warm), and most of all, the electricity thats being wasted. I know I'd sleep so much better with a fan on but he just won't budge. I've tried white noise apps and machines but they're just so...so not a real fan! Anybody have any advice? Catching Some Z's: Are You a Log or a Feather? |

Mei-Ling, do your homework, coconut oil is extremely healthy to eat because of the kinds of fat that make up coconut oil. Its been shown to help in metabolism and weight loss, improve cholesterol profiles, and its a great substitute for olive oil in medium temp cooking because it can tolerate more heat and doesn't oxidize the way olive oil does. Good stuff, seriously. The negative studies that came out years ago were on highly processed forms of the oil. 15 Non-Edible Uses For Coconut Oil |

This is gorgeous and cozy and so warm...echoing the first comment, I love the contrast between the dark cave like master bedroom and the airy and light guest room. I'd hate to have to dust it though, how do you keep up? Jen & Nate's Upcycled Mix House Tour |

Hah, the place we just moved into has a blue and white tiled bathroom. Its cute, and very vintage, but I'm not crazy about blue and didn't want to go matchy matchy when it came to anything I put in there. I bought a small dresser and painted it this exact color on a whim...I think its called Tangerine Sunset? Its a surprising mix with the sweet vintage tile, but I get so many compliments on it. I don't like syrup on my pancakes at all, but I love syrup in other things. Does that make me weird? I like lemon curd or jam on my pancakes, then I roll em' up. I eat my apples like your aunt, with a knife in slices, too. Why Everyone Thinks I Eat My Pancakes Weird |

I just whipped up a batch but had to think on my toes as I was out of a lot of things, primarily sour cream. No plain yogurt in site, I used banana yogurt. I didn't have cinnamon either, or ground ginger, so pumpkin pie spice subbed. The batter tastes yummy...i'll let you know how they turn out in about 15 minutes :) Recipe: Quick, Easy and Moist Whole Wheat Muffins |

Are these a sweet muffin or is the honey/vanilla/cinnamon just to round things out a bit? When I first read the recipe I assumed they were neutral (soups and salads) but the ingredients make me think they're a bit sweeter. Recipe: Quick, Easy and Moist Whole Wheat Muffins |

You know its a small e-world when you recognize prints/invites from other peoples weddings on totally unrelated blogs. I saw the photos of your sisters wedding at the Ace, it was gorgeous! I instantly recognized that invite :) Im getting married there in two weeks myself! And I live in Portland. Small world. Nina's Styled Studio House Tour |

I love the first photo, because I just did this in our new, awesome-but-small one bedroom apartment. We don't have a proper dining room, but we do have a breakfast nook thats way too small to house anything other than a breakfast bar, so I put a small dining table in the space (fits like it was custom!), a cool looking desk chair, and set up shop right there in the kitchen. I LOVE it. The fact that the desk isn't hidden in some extra room forces me to keep it minimal and clean, and the extra space that the dining table (vs a desk) gives me means I can really spread out and work. Plus, half the work I do on my computer is food related, so being near the kitchen means I can pull up recipes and follow along without getting the laptop or my iPhone dirty or wet...and I can keep an eye on whatever is on the stove and still get some other non-food work done at the same time. I've always found that avocados that sat in the fridge and then allowed to ripen on the counter tasted different, a little funky. I'm not so sure I agree with this...it might keep them firm but the taste is totally changed, in my opinion. Best Place to Store Avocados? In the Refrigerator |

I've done this a bunch of times with random/weird paintings I've found at thrift stores. If you're going to do it though, make sure you use a good coat or three of gesso before you paint, so you don't see lines of the previous painting like you can in this one! Its distracting and is kinda tell-tale. If thats your thing though, thats cool too. Transform Old Art |
