I tried one of these and I wasn't that impressed. If I was going to spend the money, I would just get a Tivo. My current set up is an indoor antenna, PC hooked up to my TV and a USB tuner. I am not saving that much money by not having cable but every bit helps right? We live across the bay from the TV antennas, so we got a cheap ($35) indoor antenna. I also finally but a USB tuner for the computer that is hooked up to my TV and I split the antenna signal. So now we can record one show and watch one show live.
