I just picked up a spray paint "nozzel" to avoid getting paint stained nails and fingertips! Also, prevents my finger and hand from getting cramped doing big jobs!

Loving this idea! We only have one bedside table and I need more light for reading in bed....I toyed with the idea of a floor lamp on my side and after seeing how it works, I'm going for it!

Jeremiah 10:1-5 is talking about creating idols, not decorating Christmas trees. We have to be careful about taking biblical passages out of context of who they were written for, and why....At any rate, if it's your tree then decorate it as you please. I'm not too happy about the homemade ornaments that my bf's kids want to put on the tree, but some of them will go on there because it's not worth hurting their feelings in order to have a "perfect" tree!

I don't put anything Christmas-like up until at least the 1st of December. I get a live tree and so will wait until the 2nd weekend of the month to put it up. My decorations stay up until the Epiphany...the outdoor lights are only up until January 2nd though.

Wow, would hate to have Charlotte as a guest unless I had 5 star accomodations for her. Sheesh!!!
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions! I have a friend coming in and want her to feel as comfortable and as at home as possible!

"Exotic" home fragrance oil from The Body Shop, vanilla, coffee (though I dislike the taste), peaches, gasoline, salt water at the beach, and while it's cheesy: I love the way my bf smells! Not the cologne he wears, just his smell!

Snark, snark, snarkety snark! LOL! This is a little too cold and white for my tastes but it is interesting!

I don't think the landlord is going to help and it sounds like the neighbors are upset that the mediator agreed with your points. Even if the mediator felt you were right about everything and the neighbors were wrong, have you thought about asking them to keep the music down in return for you NOT doing laundry at 10 pm or maybe doing something about the noise that the dog makes?
Maybe a little give and take, or being the bigger person, will go a long way :-)

Definitely not the huge change that I was expecting given the dramatic lead in! The kitchen is super cute though and so now I'm off to check out the blog!

Not really my style (whatever that is) but that is definitely a better picture in the link! I'm inspired to do something similar with the walls in my tiny craft room, using pretty paper napkins. How did you put it on the walls? Thanks for sharing!

Hmmm..I'm not a fan of this one. Looks like the walls need to be "fixed" or something. Maybe there are better pics???

Oh my gosh!!! This is really beautiful and I love the knobs! While some furniture "should" be restored, not EVERY piece of furniture is worth the time, effort, and cost of refinishing. I just loooove how some posters on here make the assumption that the person who painted the furniture isn't smart enough or furniture savvy enough to make that distinction!

Love this! I have a tiny craft room in my house that has brown paneling. I'm definitely going to paint it a bright happy color!

What the heck?!? Maybe it's a southern thing, but I've always used a flat sheet...Also, never even HEARD of a duvet or it's cover until about 10 years ago! In fact, I don't know of anyone in my circle of friends that has a duvet. It's always been fitted sheet, top sheet, comforter in my house.
