I love mood and this place has lots of it! So clean modern but with lots of atmosphere. I specially love the loft bed area with all the bookcase nooks, just wonderful . With a sleeping area like yours , I would go to bed early every night ! Other wonderful details I am loving : -Fantastic Torso/ mannequin lamp. -Sheer white curtains giving a halo effect to your sleek furniture. -Fancy chandelier over your post modern dinning area is a great juxtaposition. -Industrial bathroom door is such a wonderful art piece in itself. - Glass ware on Shelves with the beautiful lighting casting wonderful shadows = Best idea ever! Oh My! do I love this little home! It is simply BLISSFUL. The kind of place that is "mag" and blog worth, not just because of anesthetics but because of its accessibility. AND due to tons and tons of ideas in every corner. Funny little wonderful tables. Great job! Treasures , they are everywhere but cohesive in its color combo. For example, I love the yellow mustard wall , it goes so great with any color of the moment say brown , purple , black and white accents. So well done. Then the room with the purple bed! I would love to see the building. Lake Merritt -Oakland has wonderful architecture that inspires me greatly. I used to live on Grand Ave by the bike shop and Margie's Bridal store. Going for walks and just admiring the building would make me want to go home and re-decorate! Back to your apartment, I really love the sewing area and your white and Yellow combo throughout! Your minimalist aesthetic is very fun. I love the yellow side table in your room. I always see at Ikea and have wondered how "one"could use it. You are giving me ideas! I love the runner in the kitchen and the cute dog, makes it cozy! The kitchen is one of those modern kitchens that are hard to work with ( for a vintage obsessed like me ) . They really warmed it up by placing that little book case. Very effective decorating in the kitchen and very inspirational for me. One can admire cute kitchens full of character but the reality , for me, is that modernity is ultra good in the kitchen! Use tons of rusty browns, old faded Persian rugs, washed beige etc . Emulating patina shades. Maybe teal accents. I would use your fire place as your inspiration. I envision a Southern rusted wrought iron something. Or maybe a juxtaposition of old world/ folk with ultra moderness to reflect the feel of San Francisco.
