After decorating with grey for years, I am thrilled with Benjamin Moore's Granite. It has a subtle lavender hue that changes with the light and time of day- there are no blue or beige overtones. It has real depth. I used BM's midrange paint after my professional and expert painter had a lot of problem with the Aura paint.

Perfection! Love the apple-green sofa and the chocolate-brown chair...all clean lines, perfect for displaying an outstanding art collection. One of the best house tours I've seen. Congratulations.

Thank you so much. Yes, that is a hosta. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name, but I have purchased most of the hostas from Frida'shosta.com which is good about listing the diameter of each hosta and has a great variety of micro & small hostas available.

Too much "stuff" ...it just takes away from the overall ambiance. Imagine placing a really nice print on the wall over the sofa. It would just get lost with the competition.

I stayed at a cave hotel in Cappadocia two summers ago...the suite had a small living room, bedroom and modern bathroom plus a fireplace--which I didn't use as it was summer. Apparently, Cappadocia is very popular with the Japanese during the winter and, since it snows there, the fireplace is put to use. I highly recommend Cappadocia... the people are friendly and the ancient Christian sites are amazing.

Love the solitary tomato-red square on the floor and the wall colors. Wonderful makeover!

Agree with matchjames--too much stuff-although I like the living room paint. Also framed prints are placed too high on the wall.
