I very much prefer Israeli couscous to quinoa, etc. I usually get it at Trader Joe's, along with a log of their fresh goat cheese and 2 bags of cut up butternut squash. I roast the squash with olive oil, dried sage and s & p. Toss it together with a little balsamic vinegar and toasted walnuts. Yum! avimom, you've got to be kidding. I agree with complainypants - becoming a mother should make you less judgmental and more understanding that the choices one makes regarding her child are absolutely personal and not anybody else's business. @elvedon - love it! We also gave cd mixes with custom made (to mimic the invite) labels. Everyone (adults too) loved it because it wasn't 'kid' music (i.e. Pink Martini, Jack Johnson, Paul Simon). I love all the ideas here - board books, small wooden toys. I agree with monkeymilk - people make the effort to think of your child as far as coming to the party, giving a gift. A favor is a little acknowledgment of appreciation (as long as it's not the plastic junk that ends up in the recycling bin!). Love this place! You can tell everything color, item and decision was carefully thought out. I bet a lot of furniture was moved around to make the perfect configuration in this small space!
