Good Questions: Cleanup Help in Forest Hills?
8/9/07 1:35 PM

Thank you both! Service Master is heading over there right now. When they are done with the clean-up, my mother will need help rebuilding. Does anyone out there know of a licensed, experienced small scale contractor who can put in a new floor (concrete), pull down a wall, and rebuild the ceiling as well?

Thanks Bill. Design Public's web site (use the link under the image) makes it seem that the frame is $1500 and the cushions another 2k. Is that info incorrect?

Happy, For antiques and vintage pieces, check out Scavenger finds from craigslist and eBay, which are featured on all the AT blogs every day.

We do tend to veer towards M-C-M (because it's typically more affordable and well-scaled for smaller spaces) but we also search for more traditional antique pieces that fit these criteria as well.

What an interesting insight umeboshi. The experience of having a child in this city, as challenging as it is, has actually solidified my attachment to the neighborhood we live in.

I've had a shoes-off-at-the-door policy ever since living in Japan, where this tradition is followed even in many offices. Heavy metals or no, it keeps your home cleaner. It also creates a psychological transition from the outside that's very nice.

There's a reason SF has the lowest number of kids per capita of any city in the country.
