Like one of the other commentors said, the child really needs to be ready and everyone does it at their own pace. My son surprised us by being potty trained in one day and nighttime dry in 3 weeks, but we lucked out. We did talk to him about potty training quite a bit and waited until *he* was ready at 2 yrs and 4 mo., maybe that's what did it. When (and How) To Totally Stop Using Diapers Good Questions |

A big thumbs up for the Prince Lionheart potty seat....super cushy for his skinny little butt. Transitioned from standalone potty to this seat immediately, so we only used his standalone potty twice! Potty Talk: 10 Best Potties |

Sorry, this is slightly off topic, but I would really love to know more about the coffee table in the first picture, its perfect for our space and I'm just not able to find it anywhere. Thanks so much! 10 Home Improvement Sources for Non-DIYers Shopper's Guide |

In addition to the basics, for the first few months, I always had a small washable changing pad on top of the changing pad cover, so if there were any spit-up, pee or poop incidents during a diaper change, I could quickly swap it out for a clean changing pad. A mobile over the dresser was a great distraction too. Setting Up A Changing Table Good Questions |

i hate this trend too. i don't see why the rugs have to be the shape of a dead animal, especially when they're not the real thing. I'd love to see rugs in other organic shapes... Faux Animal Hide Rugs |

we're in a 1700sf 2br + den condo and an additional 500sf outdoor deck and we're 2 adults and 1 toddler. One of the bedrooms is a guest room/office since I work from home. The den is our baby's room. We love having the space since we have friends over frequently. We also have regular play dates. And our little guy has plenty of space to run around inside the house, and there's room for a kiddie pool outside on the deck for the summer months. We see ourselves living here for a long time. liked it better before. Gray can be warm, but it looks cave-like...it actually looked more open before. Color Therapy: Michael's Traditional Foyer & Grand Staircase Reader Painting Project |

We have a similar variation. We have a flor tile runner in our narrow 18' hallway. The diagonal length was the perfect width for the runner. So we laid the tiles down length wise in a diamond pattern, and cut some tiles diagonally to fill in the spaces on the sides, if you can picture it. This looks so much more interesting than the usual grid pattern. Create a Custom Rug with Flor Carpet Tiles Red Jet Whistle | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I personally don't feel that white or gray walls 'suck out energy'. To me white feels fresh and a light gray is clean and warm. The coral/pink on the walls however would drive me nuts. To each her own. Gillian Colors Her World House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

We moved our baby into his own room at 18 mo. Its 9x9 with double doors that open inwards, and no closets. We have a crib/toddler bed with storage drawer, dresser/changing table, ikea expedit shelf for toys, books, shoes, humidifier, diaper bag, and floor pillows instead of a chair. All of his things and most of his toys fit in his room. The Basics Essentials of a Really Small Nursery | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
