I'm picturing everyone who doesn't like this photo sleeping in neon footie pajamas.

I'm also picturing trying to gracefully get out of a bed that low while naked. That alone is reason enough to keep my high bed.

oh MY goodness. Charter a private plane if you are going to be that cranky about your right to recline or your right to not be reclined upon. You catch more flies with honey people...

My favorite: Furnas, Sao Miguel, Portugal.

At the same time, I'm pretty sure its more eco friendly to draw a bath in your home than to fly to a remote destination to get in a hot spring. Not saying I wouldn't do it, but I think that confuses people.

white paint cures all number of ills. I'd paint the stucco white, window frames gray, and then Match the doors in a fresh painted color, and i think you have a lovely home.

I have a recurring dream that i am angry with my roomate for inviting people over to party in my bedroom when i am at work. she explains that there's simply not enough room in the living room for them. Suddenly, we both remmeber there is an entire second floor of our house, which is in a little bit of disrepair, but otherwise spacious and bright with great views of the beach we (apparently) live on. We move our bedrooms to the upstairs floor, and party on downstairs, but can never figure out why we didnt do that in the first place. In real life I live in a fairly spacious 2BR in the city, so not sure if its wish fullfillment or the personality jazz. Hmmmm....

Hmmm...wouldnt this be a nice home for bugs, reptiles, and animals though? I've rescued enough of them from my fenced in chlorinated pool this year to make me wary of any more inviting option...

Have you thought of hanging some small framed artwork using ribbon or something like that FROM the weird chair raily thing? I agree that above it is too high.

This has so much potential! I'll echo what everyone has said above, go minimalist, go white as much as possible, and think about a vinyl floor mat instead of the carpeting idea. I think at the VERY least go with white curtains and it will instantly brighten up the place. Good luck!

that stinks! in my building there are signs next to the freight elevator on every floor reminding people to close the door all the way so that others don't get stuck...

I agree that only the first pic actually looks good enough to implement (to my eye) and just looking at these all i can think of is HOW MANY bruises I'd have from walking into it accidentally.

those milk cartons dont have a foil layer, just the plastic spout. Same with most OJ cartons of that type. Where I live, they go in the paper recycling.
