I like a lot of light so I wouldn't use anything too heavy or dark. I would probably use white wood blinds with a colorful valance or a pretty rod with a sheer scarf draped over the rod. That way you are getting a lot of light still coming in your windows. I noticed you have an avocado comforter. The Fall colors show a lot of avocado with rust or deep reds which might be nice. Aquariums are very relaxing and soothing to watch the fish float by. Aquariums can be very good for your health. Relaxation can be very difficult for a lot of people and they can help you to relax better. They also make a lovely piece of furniture or piece of art. They come in all shapes and sizes and make a very good conversational piece. If you don't want the maintenance of taking care of fish, you can always choose a water panel, water wall, water lamps, or water furniture. Wow, what a great job! Your space looks wonderful, but I have to agree with some of the other people about the zebra skin on the wall. I would prefer to see an animal print area rug on the floor. The kitchen looks a little cold, but some color would help that. I agree that you can get some really good buys online on ebay and other furniture sites. All in all I thought your space was lovely. Loved the NYC apartment decor. The colors are great and love the animal print thrown in to spice it up some. The candles add a lot of warmth and charm to the space. I wasn't real crazy about the chair and ottoman, but liked the sofa. Personally the French Shabby Chic just wasn't my style. It is a little gaudy and cold feeling to me. I have to agree with most of the other people. I think it looks a little tacky and cheap. I would prefer a solid color and perhaps a dark color like black. A black fridge in this kitchen would look more appealing. DIY Wallpapering a Fridge |
