@Betty I have about 15 pairs of sunglasses. Different shades for weather conditions, yes, but also some are "dressier", some are for sports or physical activity, a pair of polarized for when I'm around water, and a few that can be pushed up on my head without getting all caught in my hair.

I hate registries.

You know that Maudite isn't Belgian, right? (It's certainly not a lambic, either; which is what the "wildly fermented" implies).

It's delicious, don't get me wrong, but it's brewed in Quebec.

Good call on the map. A friend will be staying with me for two weeks starting tomorrow; she's new to the city and I won't be available during work hours, so this should be handy for her!

Irrelevant but true story:

I never understood the allure of pecan pie because... I was well into my 20s before it was explained to me that pecan pie was more than just pecans in a shell.

Shiny faucets (be they in the bathroom or the kitchen) make a room seem much cleaner.

I just did this last week.

Finally, I bought myself a wine rack, and FINALLY I took the bottles out of the cases (laid on their side in my basement, but still).

I was kind of shocked to see how many dessert wines I have. I have a surprising number of bottles that I've had for years, they're just peaking or starting to fade now.

Umm... party at my place?

It would be nice to have a selection of interesting wine racks that hold between 60 and 100 bottles.

I mean, there is no point to a rack that holds 12 or fewer.
