Here's a tip for some of you DIYers...if you're in need of some good quality fabrics, check out your local furniture stores/design centers to see if they keep any of their discontinued fabric samples. I work for a furniture store that handles mainly custom order upholstery, and have come away with some great fabrics for myself! My sofa was purchased at Pottery Barn about 5 years ago, and was manufactured by Rowe. It has held up quite well, the only problem being the cushions have gotten a bit flat. The spring system is eight-way hand tied, and has provided even comfort across the seat. If possible you should really visit a Rowe dealer in person and ask about the construction since the specs might differ from what Pottery Barn was offering. Another line to consider is Norwalk Furniture. They have an excellent reputation and the website will give you links to both their franchise and independent dealers.
