Wonderful suggestions, though shredded ginger seems unnecessary to me. Won't it stay fresh longer if not shredded? You can easily shred a chunk of frozen ginger in no time.

I'm gonna do the other four for sure! I recently found out that plain old chopped onions freeze beautifully in a little tupperware so I have those on hand as chopping onions is the most boring part of cooking for me. Having carmelized ones on hand would be fantastic, as they take a long time to prep.

Hmm, I've always found a knife works just fine to cut off the top off a boiled egg once I tap the top of the egg with an egg spoon to loosen that bit of shell. I'm really surprised someone invented a tool for something so simple!

I love sidecars too, but I have several cocktail books and they all say sidecars use brandy/cognac, not bourbon.

Wonderful suggestions here. I feel inspired to give a party myself!

Why does the author call it a "discounted cheese basket"? The cheeses in the basket are the same price per pound as the larger pieces of cheese.

It worked great on the white cakey stuff on my lousy old apartment bathtub, except it clogged my tub and I had to have a plumber come out, I tried to unclog it myself with a plunger but no luck. Next time, I'll close the tub stopper before working, as the white cakey stuff on the tub fell off in chunks - that was what clogged the drain. But the room smelled fantastic! My parents have a grapefruit tree, fortunately.

I sold one of mine, though it was 4 years old, to http://www.cashforlaptops.com/. They gave me $135, not bad for an old laptop. It would have been $155 but they took off $20 as my battery barely held a charge. They even sent me a postage-paid padded box in which to mail it. It was super easy. They wouldn't pay for my older laptop so it's still sitting around. I plan on using it for music only.

Doddibot, I don't have an electric kettle. The only people I know who do are English, but Americans like myself tend not to have them.

I'm with you, RosieGreenie. I thought all savvy nutrionists knew by now that nutrients are assimilated better by eating full-fat, whole foods, rather than ones that have been altered to be lower in fat than nature intended.
