We've been in our house since March and we're still getting settled. I absolutely hate it and can't get comfortable, but like wrtrmaus, we have so much more space than before and are having to buy things to fill it up. We have the basics, but we still need more decorative/storage furniture, art on the walls, etc. Some of the rooms still need painting - most of them had wallpaper, so that's been a pain in butt to deal with. The kitchen is pretty atrocious, in my opinion, but we won't get around to that until probably next year when we have more money to redo the countertops and flooring. I really, really hate living in the house as it is now, but we just don't have the time and money (and motivation, sometimes) to get it all done quickly. If I were still in an apartment, I would've been settled in within weeks. How Long Does it Take You to Get Settled? |

I've not used Sharpies on my own hair (no grays yet!), but I've used them a few times on wigs. They're great for synthetic wigs that you can't dye! It can be pretty time-intensive, though... Sharp Thinking: Using a Sharpie to Restore a Faded Rug |

Having grown up in Knoxville, I hated it and wanted to escape. I thought it was dreadfully boring, and some of the negative aspects that KWorld brought up really bothered me. A.B.'s Guide to Downtown Knoxville Knoxville, Tennessee |

@spaceapple and shawnamuffin: I grew up in Knoxville and haaaaated orange. But since I've moved to Nashville and have my own house to decorate as I please, orange has kind of grown on me. We bought the orange Tylosand corner sofa from Ikea and it brings a nice splash of color to our mostly black and white living room. Is Orange Making a Comeback? | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

Awesome makeover! I have a shed that looks a lot like your pre-makeover shed and this has given me some great ideas to fix it up. At least for the exterior, anyway. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the disaster that is the interior... Garden Shed Makeover for $222 Before After from High Street Market | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

My current home isn't exactly a small space, but we've still been trying to figure out where to put the THREE litterboxes we have (and possibly a fourth, since we have 4 cats). Right now two are in the closet in a spare room, which we are turning into our office, and the other is in our master bathroom. Inspired by Ikea Hacker, we decided to keep an eye out for a large chest to put some cat doors on and use that--and we happened to find one at Goodwill one day. We haven't used it yet but it will probably go in our office, and we're thinking about putting a cat door in the office door as well to play double-duty against the odor. As for the third litter box (which is actually a plastic tote), not sure what to do with it. It isn't very aesthetically pleasing in our bathroom, but no one else will ever be in there so I guess it's not that big of a deal. Hiding the Litter Box In a Closet | Apartment Therapy DC |

I've lived in Tennessee my whole life and I've never had fried pie. In fact, I don't think I've even heard of it. But I also have no idea what TN's state food would be if I had to choose, haha. Maybe thinkingwoman is right. We DO have a Moon Pie festival, after all. Crab Cakes to Mud Pie: State-by-Food Tote Bag | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I had bedbugs once (probably picked them up in a hostel), and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I somehow managed to get rid of them without spending tons of money on an exterminator, using products like Kleen Free and Perma-Guard Fossil Shell Flour/Diatomaceous Earth. Kleen Free should work on any wooden furniture if you spray/wipe it down well. Diatomaceous Earth is good for carpet and upholstered furniture, as you can just vacuum it up. Also, high heat does work, as well as extreme cold I believe. Can I Get Rid of Potential Bed Bugs In Used Goods? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |

I love those curtains in pic #3, too. Any idea where they came from? I have a dark gray bedroom and am having a difficult time finding the perfect curtains. 5 Tips For Tiny Bedrooms | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |
