My girls are still quite small and prefer to kneel on the chairs to comfortably reach the table. Before we bought the desk, we made sure that two chairs fit comfortably on either side of it. As soon as the girls are able to sit in the chairs, we will pull the desk. Right now these identical twins are very close and want to be right next to each other, coloring together. It is funny to think of our desk growing from crayons to homework and laptops.

Please readers remember - the blogger who took the time to lovingly make their children a fun project is probably very proud to be featured on Apartment Therapy and takes your comments to heart.

I'm sure most kids, who are old enough to understand the difference between play food and real food, would love to play with this.

Very lovely - and so nice that is was just her favorite people.

I have bought big balloons at Party City and I just noticed a few at Michael's (with the wedding stuff). The ones at Michael's looked a lot more expensive than the ones at Party City.

My parents bought their first house when I was 12. I was allowed to pick everything - it was the 80s and I went with red and white - white walls and red trim with very 80s red curtains.

Then we moved countries when I was 16 (1990) and this time they gave me a budget and let me choose whatever I wanted. I went for black and white - white walls and black furniture. I bought a black leather couch instead of a bed and it was all very modern. My room was my sanctuary and I loved it so much.

When my girls are older, I hope to be as trusting, excepting and supportive as my folks were. (right now my girls are 5 and got to choose their wall color and bed sheets.)

I love keeping cards - I have just about every handwritten letter anyone has ever sent me, all my Christmas cards and all birthday cards sent to my girls. I love looking at them. I think this idea is great!

I love the aesthetic of this flower press - and it would make a great gift.

Funny, I just post a craft tutorial for making a flower press yesterday...

What a great idea - I think the food should be whatever is reminiscent of your school lunches. I grew up in England and mushy peas and fish sticks come to mind. I hope yours was something yummier!

Thank you so much for featuring my updated vintage case - it is always such a thrill to be on Ohdeedoh.

Our dress-up case consists of tutus that I have made the girls as well as crowns/party hats/headdresses/doctor bags that I have made. We also have quite a few second hand bags. I generally make the girls' Halloween costumes (last year they were kites) and these all go in the dress up box.

When I was a kid, my favorite dress-up was my Dad's old shirts. I consistently see my girls use their dress-up for what ever they can dream - not the intended purpose. So, perhaps any unusual items will inspire all kinds of play.

Carie too - I dumped a box of unscented kitty liter into the case and kept it shut for a few months (a week will probably do!) and the musty smell went right away.

We have this same kitchen. I bought it for my daughters' 2nd birthday. They have played with it nearly every day since then. They are now 4 1/2 and it is still a favorite.

How do photographers get that real color saturated look? I have Photoshop Elements.

I would also love to hear thoughts on lenses - all my questions have been asked above.

Thank you!
